|  |  | Training & Advocacy | | | | FVB, our partner organisation in Romania, is authorised as a national training provider and is periodically running training sessions for personnel working with people with disabilities.
HAO was involved in the opening of a community services centre which will be a model for best practice in care for people with disability in Romania. The centre was officially opened in May 2006.
In partnership with the Open Trainiing College (St Michael's House) Dublin and Ratiu Foundation, Romania. HAO/FVB provided a comprehensive staff training programme on the social model of disability, person centred planning and management.
In April 2006 the first module of training by OTC was given to key trainers for staff at the centre at Techirghiol. This training continued in May and June, and was supplemented with training by Ratiu Foundation in Romania.
