| ‘Casa Catalina’ residential home in Galati which offers improved life choices for eight young people, was officially opened on Saturday 10th February by the Irish Ambassador, Pádraic Cradock. The home is staffed by qualified carers who provide support services to the young people assisting them to make a successful transition from institutionalized living to semi-independence. |
| The eight young adults came from two placement centres in Galati. In these placement centres, we work alongside the local Department of Child Protection. Our main focus is on the promotion of education and therapy programmes. HAO has set up a Multi-sensory room in each of the placement centres. All service users have been assessed and individual programmes designed for each child according to his or her level of ability. |
